Mamma mia!
Hey everyone! There has been a little pause in the blogging recently cause I’m drowning under the studying for the exams. It’s just such a difference studying here from studying back home where you know exactly what is expected from you. Here you are overwhelmed by the fact that you’ve had a class based totally on lectures (!) that’s been on for five months and then it’s up to you to remember what has been said. Do you get it? Firstly you’re supposed not to miss out on a single detail during class and then you’re supposed to repeat exactly what the teacher has been lecturing about during the exam. Whatever you do – don’t think for yourself! The Italian system doesn’t allow you to think or speculate. The fear of oral exams is also growing – even us Erasmus students are forced to have oral exams where the attention is very much focused on how self secure you seem rather than how much you actually know. What can I say except from Mamma Mia! As for the rest everything is fine and I’m planning to go on some more trips when the exam period is over. Some of you have been asking about the weather here, well, every day is sunny and pretty warm. Today the weather was so great that many people were sitting at the big square having a coffee outside….In other words – don’t bring the ski jacket Gabriel and Lena!
