Smalltalk

It’s crazy but today is the first day that I have some time for myself. It is of course great to never have to be alone but for me it has also been kind of strange since I usually have pretty much time on my own. There has been so many things too see and do and people to know that every day has been extremely busy. But it is always like that and no matter where one moves the first period is always very intensive. The teachers at the University keep us busy as well and have us go to school for seven (!) hours every day. Let’s just say that we are not the happiest and most alert group of people in the afternoon! You get pretty tired from listening to Italian for such a long time. However if you look at it from the bright side – you should learn something from it as well! Speaking of learning if some of my teacher-student-friends in Uppsala are reading this then you should know that the didactic methods are very different here from what we have been advised to exercise back home. For example our teachers always have us read out loud (which is terrible because that some of my classmates have accents wider that route 66) and there are lots of exercises that involve filling out the gaps. You people from ILU know what I’m talking about! But I still try to stay open-minded to the Italian didactic methods. By the way this picture is from Saturday when we went to a party nearby. We went there with three Austrian girls who are really cool so we had a good time.
