A trip to Rome

This week-end we went to Rome to visit many monuments, tasting differnet kinds of ice-cream and doing some shopping. We had heard that the city was supposed to have been all decorated for Christmas but that was acutually wrong and all we saw was a Christmas-tree in a galleria. A part from that little disapointment we had a good trip. We stayed at this really cheap hostel situated very central close to the trainstation which made it very easy to walk around freely in the city. Friday we spent strolling around taking pictures and doing nothing special. Saturday we took a guided tour inside of the Colosseo (which I will talk more about in another post) and also did some shopping. Sunday we took the metro to the Vatican city and also went to a marketplace. It was a very satisfying trip and we had a blast! Rome is an amazing city but for a small-town girl like me it was just too big.
