The falling star

Yesterday evening the sky was dark but clear at the same time and you could easily observe all the stars and the different constellations. I was standing outside of McDonalds waiting for a friend and there was not much else to do than to look at the sky and the stars. We had decided to meet in a place which is also a small square or marketplace which makes it easier to watch the sky since there are no buildings covering the sight. And then suddenly out of nowhere the brightest and biggest star I’ve ever seen fell and brightened the whole square. It must have been quite a big meteorite since it managed to burn for at least five seconds and since it managed to light up quite a big part of the sky. The girl who was standing next to me looked strangely at me when I shouted out of the blue “guarda” which means “look” in Italian :) It was of course one of those moments when you should wish for world peace straight away or for love for all children who are lonely but I couldn’t remember if a falling star brings good luck or if you should wish for something so I kind of missed out on the moment! Isn’t that just typical?
