Lilian is on a visit

A few days ago came our friend Lilian on a visit. She’ll be staying with us for about four days and that is great! This picture is from when we went to Florence for one day this Saturday and the girl who sits next to her is another Swedish girl that we use to hang out with. So you can say that this weekend was “the Swedish girls’ weekend”! In Florence we checked out all the “must doos” such as the Dome, the Old Bridge, Gli Uffici and the statue of David by Michelangelo. It felt weird to be back in Florence considering that I have lived there before. Of course it’s a nice city to visit but I would never move back there again. It is absolutely a city for rich people and tourists and to be honest I dislike the whole concept. No, Siena is so much better and I was really happy on the train back! We also had to do some shopping of course but since Florence is full of stores for rich people such as Prada, Dior and Armani it was difficult for us to find shops with normal prices. On the whole we found maybe about three stores where we could afford to buy something. Imagine – three stores in a city like Florence! That should tell you something about what it’s like living there. It was a really cool day though and on the train back we had lots of fun although we were so tired. It’s weird how much fun you can have with an apple!
